Quality of Care

Recognition of quality is fundamental to our philosophy of care.
In knowing that their children will be loved, looked after and stimulated in a safe and secure environment allows parents the peace of mind and absolute confidence to pursue their careers and interests.

Key persons

When your child starts nursery it is important that this transition is made as easy as possible for both you and your child.

Nursery Days operates a Key person system where all children are allocated a key person to ensure that your child's individual needs are met, help them settle into nursery, to share information with parents and to observe and record information on your child.

Hopefully when your child has formed an attachment with their key person they will then develop confidence and be encouraged and supported to form positive relationships with other carers at the nursery.

Your key person will be available to discuss settling in, routines and how your child's day has been.

Your key person will ensure that both you and your child have many positive experiences at nursery days.

  • The main priority of early years is to provide an environment that is warm and secure at the same time as being well structured, varied and stimulating
  • The starting point will be what children can do.  The activities will then build on the child's experiences
  • We believe that children need to engage in first hand experiences of people and materials
  • Children need activities that engage all their senses
  • Children need to feel in control of their learning
  • Play and the child's own motivation is essential
